In stolen moments this week, I have relished playing in the kitchen. Local friends have become guinea pigs. Kate, Kole, Alan, Melvin…all subjected to lavender muffins, blackstrap molasses bread and a new scone recipe. I’m on the hunt for those perfect morning recipes for guests. And now, I have a confession. I have a dish addiction, particularly lovely old china patterns, deep pottery, silver. I can’t quit. I can’t tell you how the table will be set when you arrive because part of the joy is found in matching plates to personalities. Thanks to Ruth Ann Hale and Rita & Rupert Howell who visited this week, I had the chance to play. Remember to play this weekend with someone who is dear to your heart. It is those stolen moments we always cherish.
